Vaibhav Naik, born in 1992 and a native of Mumbai, India, embarked on his artistic journey in 2010, inspired by his older brother. He honed his skills at the prestigious J.J. School of Art, graduating in 2015 with a specialization in illustration. This foundational period marked the beginning of Naik's deep dive into the world of art, where he developed a keen eye for detail and a unique illustrative style. Naik's artistic direction took a significant turn under the mentorship of Professor Vilas Tonape and the eminent artist Vijay Achrekar. Working closely with these mentors for five years as their assistant, Naik was exposed to diverse approaches in representative art. This experience profoundly influenced his shift towards fine art. Throughout this period, he participated in numerous exhibitions nationwide and hosted four solo shows. His talent and dedication have been recognized with several awards, including a notable Bronze Medal in the 2021 Annual Competition held by the Art Society of India. Currently, Vaibhav Naik serves as the principal instructor at the Samsara Academy of Art in Hyderabad. Here, he continues to explore and express his artistic vision, primarily through drawing. Naik's commitment to art education and his passion for drawing as a medium demonstrate his dedication to fostering new talent and contributing to the art community.
